I was fortunate to work with rising star Jewel Whimp, a current student at New Zealand's most distinguished performing arts academy NASDA, by creating a music video for her most popular song "Stars Align".

For my final thesis at the New Zealand Broadcasting School, I wrote about solo filmmaking, aligning my studies to the limitations filmmakers face during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Following the limitations outlined in my thesis, I was the sole filmmaker on set, filming, directing, producing, and editing the project without any assistance. As outlined in the thesis, one exception was made, which was the presence of a Health and Safety officer during intimate scenes to ensure the actors were in a comfortable and safe working environment.

The video was a success, with both the tutors and the artist being pleased with the final result. Both the thesis and music video received high grades individually, marking this video to be one of the most successful videos of the year, even with the limitation of no crew assistance. The project displays by various skills of production that highlights my adaptability to challenges on set. I'm very pleased with the final product, especially as it was filmed within three days.  I look forward to collaborating with Jewel again in the future.
